A relaxing retirement starts here.
At Vista Veterinary Transitions, we know that the decision to sell your veterinary practice is one of the most important decisions you’ll make in your career. We aren’t just here to make a transaction – we are a trusted partner that helps shepherd you through the intricacies of the transition process so you can focus on your successful second act, while ensuring your pet patients continue to receive the high-quality care you’ve always delivered.
The Sales Process
1
Consultation
You are not just another listing with Vista Veterinary Transitions. We’re going to sit down in person and talk with you face-to-face. We’ll discuss expectations and see if we are the right partner to help you make the best possible transition for your business.
3
Listing & Marketing
After completing the valuation process, we’ll work with you to determine a sale price that aligns with our experience and your expectations. We always make sure that pricing is fair and we demand the fair price from buyers. We create detailed listing profiles and market your practice on our website, via email, direct mail, and other trade publications.
5
Contract & Closing
When the perfect buyer has been found, we’ll write up the letter of intent and help broker the transition plan and any employment agreements. Once you are under contract, Vista Veterinary Transitions will finish up the financing with the bank, facilitate the sale of commercial real estate and any other details up to and at closing. And then you are relaxed from a smooth transition and ready to take on your next adventure!
2
Valuation
Once you’ve decided to partner with us, we’ll work with you to place a value on your practice. We’ll work with your accounting team to analyze the practice financials and we’ll assess the location, demographics, market, etc. The valuation process takes about a week.
4
Buyer Vetting & Meetings
Vista Veterinary Transitions is constantly updating our database of interested buying clients. Buying clients are fully financially vetted before they are ever introduced to sellers. Once your practice is ready to list, we’ll review our current buying clients list to see if we have a potential match. We facilitate buyer-seller meetings where you will discuss practice philosophy, transition details, etc.
